Your future role at QRT

The specific team you join will be decided considering both your capabilities and the needs of the company throughout the recruitment process. Here are the potential roles you might fill:

Quantitative Developer:

You will design and implement components for our systematic trading platform. You will also provide direct support to Researchers and Traders while gaining hands-on experience with systematic trading components, including software, hardware, and systems. You will integrate one of our trading desks, which range from discretionary to high frequency trading.

Quantitative Tooling Developer:

You will work on a platform consisting of three key components: a Python library that enables researchers to implement trading strategies, pipelines and processes for submitting, back testing, and validating strategies, and a platform that operates, scales, and monitors these strategies in a live environment. Leveraging your skills in Python, Rust, and CI/DevOps practices, you will help the team enhance the performance and efficiency of the platform, while ensuring it meets the evolving needs of researchers and traders.

Quantitative Data Analyst:

You will be responsible for sourcing, designing, and onboarding new datasets based on priorities set by trading desks. You will assist desks with data usage in trading systems, proactively offer data-based solutions to enable new research projects, and manage the entire lifecycle of data sourcing projects, including acquisition, exploration, and design. You will collaborate with Data Engineers to bring new datasets to production

Data Engineer:

You will manage extensive datasets for QRT's research and trading platform. You will assist in designing and implementing data stores and APIs, monitor data processes and health. Your role will be instrumental in bringing new datasets to production level. Additionally, you will provide support to Researchers and Traders, ensuring they are able to best leverage our data platform.

Data Platform Engineer:

You will build and maintain the data infrastructure that fuels our research platform. Your role will focus on the ingestion, processing, and serving of large-scale data, ensuring the platform operates efficiently and can handle real-time and batch processing at scale. You will also be responsible for continuously monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing the platform to maintain low latency and high availability.

Your present skillset

Excellent fundamental computer science skills such as algorithmics, data structures, algorithmic complexity, parallel programming, OOP...
A keen interest in software engineering, infrastructure, or data engineering within a low latency environment, using C++, C#, or Python.
Interest in developing skills in real-time critical trading systems
Excellent communication and analytical skills – you will interact directly with Traders and Researchers
Appetite for becoming autonomous quickly, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Rigorous and structured mindset

Additional:

Database knowledge such as SQL/NoSQL is a plus
Front-end development is a plus
Interest in financial markets/algorithmic trading is a plus
