Accounts Payable (AP) Analyst The role of an Accounts Payable (AP) Analyst must have a good understanding of the full-cycle Accounts Payable functions to reconcile vendor accounts, research discrepancies, provide resolutions and AP reporting. This position will also be responsible for maintaining and managing the Master Vendor Data file and communicate any issue/concerns to the AP Manager. General Duties & Responsibilities: Assist with resolving escalated vendor issues Understand full-cycle Accounts Payable functions Research and reconcile vendor statements Assist AP team with obtaining documentation for audits Month end accruals and close tasks Assist with 1099 reporting and related projects Work with vendor specialist to resolve payment and/or vendor setup issues Special projects and additional duties as assigned, including M&A; integration Understand and adhere to internal controls Work with vendor specialist to ensure all vendor requests contain appropriate supporting documentation and comply with corporate requirements Analyze and improve data quality which includes running data audit reports to eliminate duplicates, standardize text formats,etc. Identify data quality issues and work with management to develop new processes to correct and prevent future data quality issues· Educational Requirements: Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance preferred 4+ years of relevant experience Must be Proficient with Excel Microsoft Access experience a plus GL and reconciliation experience a plus JDA/Microsoft Dynamics experience is a definite plus Strong organization and analytical skills required Ability to communicate with all levels of management Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong working knowledge of accounting practices and principles Knowledge Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated ability to work effectively either as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels Demonstrated ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new information, processes, and procedures Good numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, determine priorities and organize work to meet objectives and identify and deal with problems Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products Ensure your Fanatics job offer is legitimate and don’t fall victim to fraud.
