Your team: Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions

BlackRock’s Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions (MASS) team is the investment group at the heart of BlackRock's portfolio construction, asset allocation, and active management ecosystem. MASS draws on the full toolkit of index, factor, and alpha-seeking investment capabilities to deliver detailed investment outcomes and innovative alpha insights. Our team of 350+ multi- asset investment professionals construct active asset allocation strategies and whole portfolio solutions across a wide spectrum of commingled funds, separate accounts, model portfolios, and outsourcing solutions in the wealth and institutional channels. Currently, MASS handles over $900 billion in assets and has a strong presence in the Americas, EMEA and throughout Asia Pacific.

Within MASS, Manager Research evaluates investment strategies for multi- manager client portfolios, working closely with portfolio managers across client segments and asset managers globally.

Your responsibilities

Independently and in teams, research and evaluate investment opportunities and strategies with a focus on public equity strategies
Make well-researched recommendations on asset class opportunities and identify investment managers best able to complete these
Work closely with BlackRock multi-manager investments teams in anticipating demand for investment strategies, make allocation recommendations
Active ownership of recommended investment strategies and the relationship with the respective investment managers
Participate in the design and ongoing management of portfolios with well-researched proposals for strategic investments
Document research findings from initial due diligence and ongoing monitoring
Regularly prepare reports summarizing manager performance and portfolio positioning
Stay up to date about products and trends in the investment management industry
Work with Manager Research colleagues and Leadership to line up and implement research pipeline
Represent BlackRock and Manager Research in client meetings and to the investment industry
Contribute to the evolution of our Manager Research processes by proactively suggesting and developing new research techniques

You have…

Demonstrated experience and success in conducting investment research on asset managers that provide equity strategies
Strong cross team and firm relationship building skills, capable of adapting style of communication to the audience
A Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics/statistics, or a related field or a demonstrable interest in investments and/or finance,
Relevant professional qualification (e.g. MBA/CFA/IFA) or is willing to study towards one
Excellent written and verbal communications skills,
Outstanding analytical capabilities, which form an important part of our research process
Ability to travel if required, to destinations globally
Ability to work independently, while also acting collaboratively as a great team member in our world-wide team
Experience working in a global envi r onment
Ability to independently manage your own schedule to support a global business model.

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all.
