The incumbent contributes actively to business development for the Bank's foreign exchange desk.

He/she performs foreign exchange transactions through the branch network, manages a portfolio of commercial clients, and identifies, explores, develops, and closes sales with new clients.

Responsibilities :

º Execute clients' foreign currency transactions (Spot, forwards, and options).

º Analyze and identify corporate foreign exchange risk.

º Develop and implement hedging strategies adapted to the risk identified.

º Design a business development plan to build a network of clients and prospects via the following activities:

º Implement a direct solicitation approach for prospects/stakeholders/clients.

º Contribute to the development of new markets through potential clients.

º Participate in various events of the financial services industry and Laurentian Bank.

º Target the needs of clients and prospects, anticipate how their situations may evolve, and recommend strategies adapted to their needs.

º Ensure the Bank's visibility by representing the organization and promoting the Bank's image, in addition to developing and maintaining business relationships with current and potential clients and influential people.

º Track industry trends and changes in legislation to ensure that current practices are up to date.

º Protect Laurentian Bank's interests by applying sound risk management and enforcing Laurentian Bank's compliance measures and policies.

Qualifications :

º Graduate degree (finance, economics, or related field)

º Two (2) to three (3) years of experience and more in a similar position.

º CFA designation an asset

º Experience in business development, preferably as a foreign exchange broker

º Knowledge of financial markets, macroeconomic variables, and derivatives

º Excellent sales skills

º Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and French
