Job Profile Summary:

Hybrid business analyst/project management role within the Trading Platforms Projects team.

Primarily focusing on initiatives across Man Group, this role is perfect for a highly motivated, inquisitive individual who sees a challenge as opportunity to learn. The role requires taking ownership of projects and initiatives and working closely with the business stakeholders to understand requirements, scope, and priority. It would be beneficial for the individual to have a technical background to compliment sound business knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the business to analyse and understand their processes and requirements.

  • Producing technical designs to meet business needs

  • Implementing consistent project reporting frameworks across the business and maintain oversight of activities underway

  • An awareness of operational risk and managing issues to resolution; escalating where appropriate

  • Supporting senior management with ad-hoc and regular reporting

  • Tracking and reporting in a concise manner to highlight milestones, risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies

  • Hosting regular project review sessions with senior stakeholders

  • A positive attitude and approach tasks bringing enthusiasm, and challenging requirements when appropriate.

  • Documentation creation including, but not limited to, business cases, budget/resource/project plans, and status updates

  • Interacting closely with project teams to anticipate challenges and help problem solve any scope, resourcing, or quality issues

  • Ensuring a high level of transparency

  • A focus on delivering value to the business while maintaining a culture of constant improvement within project teams and driving relentless efforts to improve process

Key Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years working as a Business Analyst/Project Manager
  • Previous experience within a Technology team preferable
  • Excellent problem solving, analysis and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Should be able to present a point concisely and deal positively with conflicting views, with internal and external partners and senior stakeholders .
  • Highly organised self-starter with the ability to effectively manage time across multiple projects and with competing business demands and priorities
  • Third parties experience beneficial (software vendors and service providers)
  • Previous Project Management experience beneficial
  • Good knowledge of SQL with related hands-on experience beneficial.
  • Buy-side experience beneficial, and financial services experience a must.
  • Detailed understanding of multiple asset classes beneficial.
  • Previous experience of order and execution management lifecycle or front office system required.
