Job Description

Role

This position is a technical role, embedded within business teams (initially Legal and Human Capital), with a focus on driving business process improvement through the application of technology. This role includes hands on delivery of technical solutions, including implementation and writing code such as SQL, Salesforce Apex and Appian expressions and REST API calls.

This is a high visibility and high impact opportunity given the diverse mandate with responsibilities spanning across both business analysis and hands-on technical delivery. As such, the ideal candidate will be highly adaptable and willing to learn new technical skills as well as become a business domain expert as we automate key processes to reduce the risk of human error and increase efficiency of business teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering and solution design directly with end users
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Create and implement technical solutions to solve current and future business problems as part of an overall roadmap
  • Automate workflows to improve internal processes by implementing cross-team and cross-functional workflows and solutions within tools such as Appian, M-Files, Salesforce as well as other systems. The ideal candidate will be technology agnostic and focused on business value
  • Build reporting and analytics for Human Capital, Legal, Corporate Accounting, Operations and other teams
  • Customize Appian, Salesforce and other tools to improve the user experience, including writing code
  • Create automated tests for workflows
  • Keep up to date with Appian and Salesforce feature releases, evaluate and integrate features as well as train users while driving adoption of new features and tools
  • Create training documentation that will be used by other teams

Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL, Salesforce Apex, Appian expressions or REST API calls
  • Experience in at least one primary BI tool such as PowerBI, Tableau or Looker
  • Experience in adapting already gathered requirements to the evolving needs of the business
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a focus on correct data
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Ability to work without close supervision in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated examples of resilience to deal with ambiguity and change
  • Ability to provide clarity and insight through data visualizations and reporting commentary
  • Experience working in asset management (Private Equity, Long-only, Hedge Funds, Family Office) is advantageous but not required
