Job Description

As a Data & Business Analyst within our Market Lens team, you will be working with both qualitative (investment documents) and quantitative data as it relates to the institutional investment industry. You will be part of a team with shared daily responsibilities contributing to data sourcing, review, interpretation, summary, and input efforts. Qualitative in-depth document review and interpretation will be a daily task. This role requires a strong independent work ethic to reach shared team daily objectives and goals. This role requires a structured day-to-day schedule with daily database management objectives; the role is more task oriented than long-term project oriented. You will be researching institutional investors daily, reviewing their investment disclosure and analyzing how they are managing their assets. You will be writing investment email commentary for our clients as part of your weekly responsibilities. You will become familiar with investment strategies across all asset classes from traditional (Equity and Fixed Income) to Hedge Funds and Private Markets (Private Equity, Private Debt, and Real Assets).

With this position we offer:

You’ll be comfortable interacting and collaborating with internal teams like Sales, Client Success Managers (CSMs), and Solutions Specialists. This role requires collaboration with team members globally, many direct team members will be based in the United States (New Jersey/New York/Colorado/Georgia). You may also interact with institutional investors and clients via phone and email. You’ll assist with creating easily repeatable procedures for identifying potentially inaccurate or bad data as well as assist with developing processes for improving data collection. You will be responsible for writing market commentary that gets sent to our clients which highlights investment documents in the Market Lens database.

_ Your Role and Responsibilities_

  • Work with team members on daily data sourcing and document review of institutional investment data from public websites and through FOIA requests
  • Responsible for writing weekly market commentary on investment documents in the Market Lens database
  • Conduct timely daily analysis, review, and summary of numerous investment documents as an individual to achieve an overall team goal
  • Contribute to daily data entry processes and offshore data oversight
  • Create and enhance data auditing processes and procedures
  • Research institutional investors' investment disclosure in the United States and global markets

** We expect you to have** :

  • Extraordinary attention to detail and strong reading comprehension skills are a must. You will be tasked with reviewing, interpreting, and summarizing lengthy investment documents for our clients
  • Excellent internet navigation, research, and due diligence skills for locating relevant information
  • A high-level of team and personal accountability for your work
  • Strong interest in the institutional investment industry; we are looking for proof of your passion for investment data or willingness to learn. A conceptual knowledge of databases is a plus
  • Excellent English language skills (verbal and written)
  • Exceptional communication skills as our team members constantly communicate with one another to reach a common daily objective
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookups

** It would be great if you had:**

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Familiarity with various investment strategies and asset classes
  • SQL and/or PowerBI knowledge
  • Confluence and JIRA knowledge
  • Experience working with databases
  • Speak any additional languages
