Job Description

Hudson River Trading is seeking a trader to join our highly performant, lean and nimble Execution Trading team. You will trade all products in the scope of credit and fixed income ETF strategies. You will have an immediate impact; exciting new, high-growth strategies have vastly increased the amount of trades we need to execute daily. You will collaborate closely with our Quantitative Research teams in a landscape that is primarily quantitative with a fundamental overlay. This is an opportunity to expand your product knowledge, gain a unique perspective on corporate credit and credit markets, and sit in an impactful seat with high-profile connectivity to the sell side.

Responsibilities

  • Trade execution of the ETF Arbitrage Creation and Redemption volumes
  • Portfolio risk review and management (trade entry, DV01, PNL tracking, residual evaluation)
  • Trade flow organization
  • Evaluation of daily trade suggestions (fundamental and practical)
  • Collaborate with our Quantitative Research teams to provide an important real-time feedback loop for model optimization (challenge model assumptions, update reality of transaction costs, evaluate trade suggestions, and identify model bias)
  • Collaborate with the Systems Technology team to build the infrastructure that will make the Credit team most efficient
  • Provide effective communication on daily markets (flows, technicals, issues, and strategy feedback); process and communicate important information to relevant internal teams
  • Evaluation, interaction and optimization of all ATS/automation platforms
  • Identify the best tools/options for portfolio hedging and market technicals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years trading experience in credit/fixed income
  • Understanding of FI ETF market structure
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and execute high trade volumes
  • Ability to think creatively and critically while implementing ideas in a fast-changing environment
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace
  • Familiarity with fixed income ECN/ATS interfaces
  • Familiarity with Python, C++, SQL, or R is a plus

Annual base salary range of $150,000 to $200,000. Pay (base and bonus) may vary depending on job-related skills and experience. A sign-on and discretionary performance bonus may be provided as part of the total compensation package, in addition to company-paid medical and/or other benefits.
