As a Data Analyst, you will build our finance analytics vertical and drive insights that lead to step-function operational improvements. In this role, you will partner with leadership and teams from across the business—from sales to finance—to help unpack ambiguous problems and build lasting, scalable analytics solutions. Your work will vary from one-off investigations to building core dashboards and tables, and it will directly evolve how Scale operates and measures itself. We are looking for candidates who are incessantly curious and who love creating insights out of ambiguity.

You will:

Build scalable data assets (dashboards and underlying data models and workflows) to unlock reliable data analytics and insights to enable Finance and Accounting workflows
Enable and educate stakeholders on best practices for leveraging new data assets that you create
Be a proactive partner to your business stakeholders and provide insights and conclusions rather than just data outputs
Collaborate with Finance and Accounting on both roadmap planning and project execution, bridging the gap between business problem and technical solution
Partner with Finance, Data Engineering and Data Scientists to develop business metrics to understand our existing financial performance and influence our financial future
Define product/project requirements with business stakeholders and establish effective project governance structure to make progress on your initiatives

Ideally you'd have:

2+ years of experience working in Data Analytics and/or Data Science
Hands-on experience in principled data warehouse design, data visualization (Tableau) and data pipeline design and development
Expert-level proficiency in writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries across large datasets.
Working knowledge of Python and associated data libraries
Demonstrated excellent project management skills, ability to manage and manipulate large data sets, critically analyze existing processes, and identify opportunities for process improvement

Nice to haves:

A Bachelor’s degree with a major in Computer Science or Information Technology
Experience working with Netsuite, Anaplan and/or Adaptive Insights a plus
