Belvedere is looking for someone passionate about delivering the high-quality and reliable data that our business depends on. You will be instrumental in working with end users to develop and refine data pipelines, dashboards, and operational processes. You will be challenged to pick up industry knowledge and technical skills to expand your capabilities.

You must be ready to dig deeply into complex problems, adapt to changes in technologies and business requirements, and voice your perspective on improving the team experience and outcomes.

What you'll do

  • Design and operate the analytics and pipelines for the metrics and dashboards that drive critical decisions across the firm.

  • Act as a centralized resource for data requests by understanding what data is available and how to retrieve it

  • Set expectations on effort and complexity for introducing new pipelines and data sources.

  • Implement requests for both Trading and Technology metrics and analyses.

  • Work with stakeholders to iterate through analyses to find issues and improvements in their data platform use.

  • Monitor and proactively resolve performance and stability issues in continuous pipelines and processes.

  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to improve legacy processes and roll out new capabilities.

  • Set time aside to learn more about our data, quantitative analysis, and existing dashboards to deepen your understanding of our business and industry.

  • Ensure quality and integrity via automation and manual review.

  • Develop a working mastery of our data sources through efficient querying and self-learning.

What you'll need

  • 2 years of experienced preferred.

  • Proficiency with SQL and data models (other query languages a plus).

  • Experience operating and supporting data orchestration tools like Airflow, Dataform, etc..

  • Exposure to working in modern cloud data warehouses and tools.

  • Experience with data visualization tools, especially Power BI or Looker.

  • Comfort using or learning to use development languages and tools, esp. Python.

  • Attention to detail and curiosity to understand data.

  • Unrelenting desire to get to the bottom of the problem and get it right.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Passionate about providing quality support for pipelines and users during working hours.

  • A desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
