Description

As a Data Science Intern, you will partner with our data scientists to expand our research in the application of statistical analysis and machine learning for real-world projects. The candidate will have ample opportunity to participate in and contribute to the day-to-day operations of the Data Science Team such as project planning, data analysis, model development and validation, and meetings with business partners. Specific responsibilities will be determined based on the candidate’s abilities, background, and interests.

Key Learning Opportunities:

Apply your creative and analytical skills by conducting in-depth exploratory data analysis on various datasets of interest
Help us better understand our client base and their behaviors using segmentation methods, time-series analyses, machine learning, etc.
Collaborate with data scientists by researching innovative approaches to similar problems in finance and other industries
Participate in meetings and discussions with key stakeholders to begin thinking and solving problems as a ‘business-minded’ data scientist

Preferred Qualifications:

Must be a Master’s degree candidate in a quantitative field
Possesses a strong understanding of statistics and mathematics concepts
Proficient in Python and SQL (DataBricks, Spark, Azure a plus)
Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work well in a team environment
Impeccable attention to detail
Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
