What you’ll do:
Analyze: Drive decision-making by developing sophisticated analytical models; Illustrate key business trends through effective data interpretation and visualization; Build reporting to be used by Expedia Group leadership
Advise: Develop an in-depth knowledge of relevant lodging offering data sources and business intelligence to become a data-driven advisor to the business
Enable: Create, document & maintain lodging offerings datasets (rate plan attributes, deal attributes, lodging offering coverage and production, … ) used by analyst community
Present: Clearly and concisely present strategic recommendations
Collaborate: Establish trust and a collaborative working relationship with Account Management leadership, Business Intelligence Developers, Pricing Program Management and Scout Product Managers and Engineers colleagues; Proactively and directly engage with partners to assess existing and upcoming project needs and maintain regular communication on progress
Take initiative : Display a proactive mindset, strive for continuous process improvement, use critical thinking to propose innovative solutions.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s or other advanced degree in Engineering/Math/Hotel Management/Business or related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience
0-2 years analytical experience, including SQL database querying, use of Tableau, Excel. R or Python would be a plus
Excellent problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity and self-motivation
Understanding of advanced statistical/predictive modeling
Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong presentation skills.
