Join us for a 6-month internship designed for students to help you reach your career goals by providing hands-on projects that highlight skills from the classroom and will impact the organization. You will be given the opportunity to work with the geniuses across the organization to devise engaging experiences for fans and students globally. With great power comes great responsibility, as you’ll be tasked to pitch and execute your own projects to develop the repertoire of skills you learn from the classroom. Job Overview:

We are seeking a data scientist intern who is passionate about esports and has a strong analytical mindset. The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis, data mining, and statistical modeling. They should be able to identify patterns and trends in complex data sets and have the ability to develop predictive models using advanced statistical methods.


  • Collaborate with the team to develop a comprehensive understanding of the competitive gaming landscape and develop strategies for success.
  • Analyze large and complex data sets and identify trends and patterns.
  • Develop predictive models using statistical methods to support the organization’s decision-making process across multiple departments (gaming, marketing, partnerships).
  • Create visualizations and reports to communicate insights and findings to the team.
  • Participate in discussions with the team to help them understand the insights derived from the data.


  • Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in data science, applied statistics, computer science, or a related field. Graduates from May 2022 and later will also be considered.
  • Proficient in Python and SQL.
  • Experience working with databases and data management systems, such as Postgres.
  • Experience working with statistical modeling techniques and machine learning algorithms.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools or packages such as Tableau, Power BI, or Plotly.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passionate about esports and a desire to learn more about competitive gaming.


  • Familiarity with NLP
  • Experience working with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience in software development using software engineering best practices (git).
  • Experience working with APIs or web scraping tools to collect data from external sources.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management tools, such as JIRA or Trello.
