Plaid’s Machine Learning team is building models that improve how millions of users understand and grow their financial lives. We're looking for machine learning engineers with experience applying state-of-the-art machine learning and modeling techniques -- including natural language processing, anomaly detection, optimization, and time series forecasting -- toward different product areas. We value not only technical know-how, but also creativity, user empathy, and teamwork.

You will be a machine learning engineer on the credit team focused on building and maintaining machine learning models to determine bank income insights or credit risk models.

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining machine learning models to determine bank income insights or credit risk models.

  • Researching existing techniques in the industry and applying them.

  • Analyzing production & development model performance, building dashboards to visualize model performance and other characteristics.

  • Working with Data Infrastructure and the Insights engineering team to ingest new signals + improve ML.

  • Building and maintaining models pertaining to Credit products.

  • Help launch new Lending capabilities at Plaid.

Qualifications

  • ML pipeline

  • Data cleaning/visualization

  • Featurization

  • Model selection

  • Evaluation

  • Coding with Python

  • Coding with SQL

  • Credit risk related experience

  • Proven experience in credit risk modeling

$154,800 - $232,200 a year

Target base salary for this role is between $154800 and $232200 per year. Additional compensation in the form(s) of equity and/or commission are dependent on the position offered. Plaid provides a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Pay is based on factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and skillset, and location. Pay and benefits are subject to change at any time, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefit plans.
