Point72 Asset Management is seeking data engineers within its Internal Alpha Capture (IAC) team. The IAC team is focused on developing and implementing scalable long/short equity investment strategies that leverage insights from discretionary portfolio managers and analysts, using sophisticated risk management, portfolio construction and execution techniques. Successful candidates will work alongside quantitative researchers in solving complex problems that need state of the art data management and ETL best practices.
This exceptional individual will be a part of an investment team and collaborate closely with IAC quantitative researchers and technologists, data engineering plays a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day implementation of a large research infrastructure.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Contributing to a robust, scalable research infrastructure, including AWS cloud support.

Developing robust ETL pipelines for quantitative investment strategies, PIT management, and storage.

Maintaining and supporting financial datasets infrastructure.

Researching new technologies for improved data management and efficient storage and retrieval.

Engaging with vendors to understand characteristics of datasets, perform onboarding.

Designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting datasets used in IAC, including fundamental data, internal estimates, etc.
REQUIREMENTS

Undergraduate or higher degree in Computer Science, engineering, or other quantitative discipline

Strong programming experience in Python

Experience working in a Unix environment, shell scripting.

Experience working with common financial data vendors: CapIQ, Compustat, IBES, Bloomberg, Factset, etc.

The annual base salary range for this role is $200,000-$300,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
