Position Overview
The Financial Software Engineer position is part of the Beacon Front Office
Suite (FOS) engineering team that is responsible for designing, developing and
testing essential Beacon’s front office components. You will work closely with
our clients, which include investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds,
insurance companies, and commodities trading companies.
What You’ll Do
Work on developing, testing, and supporting various components to support our
clients in the financial technology space. These include:
- Market data modeling
- Time series framework
- Trade ingestion of high-frequency trades and market data
- Data ingestion and data management solutions
- Trading risk management, including analytical models and data warehousing
- Workflow, reporting, and visualization solutions
- Integration with third-party systems
- Integration with cloud computing services
- Providing ongoing support and enhancement of the Beacon Platform
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 3-5 years of financial engineering experience
- Proficiency in Python
- Familiarity with financial instruments
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Fundamentals of software engineering such as data structures and algorithms
- Must be located in the NYC metropolitan area
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Familiarity with streaming technologies like Kafka and Redis
- Familiarity with cloud computing such as AWS or Azure
- Exposure to multiple programming languages and paradigms
Expected Salary Range: $150,000 - $175,000
