Job Description

This is a hybrid role, based in G-Research’s office in Dallas.

G-Research is Europe’s leading quantitative finance research firm. We hire the brightest minds in the
world to tackle some of the biggest questions in finance. We pair this expertise with machine learning, big data, and some of the most advanced technology available to predict movements in financial markets.

This role is based in G-Research’s office in Dallas. Opened in 2022, the Dallas office is a key
infrastructure hub where we work on the latest technologies in a cutting-edge environment.

The role

We are looking for passionate Graduate Platform Engineers to join our expanding global team in Dallas and work at the cutting-edge of Linux, automation, cloud and big data technologies.

This Graduate role will begin in September 2024, where you will join one of our Platform teams, with the opportunity to rotate through different teams over the course of two years.

These Platform teams cover a diverse portfolio of products and services, with a large focus on applying automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD tools and methodologies in all of our engineering work. We also have a culture of continuous improvement and utilise open source tooling and best practices to increase the pace of delivery.

Alongside exposure to multiple teams, you will receive tailored training and mentoring from more experienced colleagues.

This is an ideal time to join a growing office and be guided by some of the brightest minds in Dallas.

Who are we looking for?

Students need to have completed at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related degree, and be available to start in 2024. You will need at least a 3.4 GPA.

We are seeking aspiring Engineers who are enthusiastic about contributing to an automated, scalable, reliable and high performing platform.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Enthusiasm for software and infrastructure engineering, and a strong desire to continually learn about new technologies, approaches and systems

  • Experience with at least one programming language

  • Knowledge of infrastructure technologies, such as Linux, Ansible, Terraform, cloud
    computing, Kubernetes, Docker, big data and networking

  • A willingness to learn by working with users across different business areas, experiences
    and cultures, in order to drive towards the best outcomes for G-Research
