Position Overview
As a Data Scientist Intern on the Enterprise Data and Analytics team, you will work closely with our data science and ML Ops teams on projects around model development for sophisticated customer segmentation, churn prediction, account growth potential, sales forecasting and/or lead generation. You’ll have the opportunity to develop machine learning solutions that are leading Autodesk’s predictive and prescriptive capabilities.
Responsibilities
Develop, prototype, and deploy machine learning models
Perform analysis on large datasets and produce qualitative visualizations based on reporting requirements
Build analytical solutions and dashboards that integrate data from a wide variety of sources such as relational databases, AWS, data virtualization tools
Optimize workflows and scripts on data lake for data cleaning, processing, and transformation
Minimum Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled in a full-time, degree seeking program with an expected graduation date in 2024, with a focus in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, and/or a related quantitative field of study
Prior experience with data analysis using Python and open-source data science toolkits (Pandas, SciKit-Learn, NLTK, etc.)
Strong foundation of various statistical and machine learning techniques including classification, regression, dimension reduction, regularization, clustering and various multivariate methods
Familiarity with relational data modeling and data wrangling with SQL (in a NoSQL context e.g., SparkSQL)
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Snowflake or comparable Data Warehouse and ETL tooling like Astronomer/Airflow and DBT
Experience working in an AWS environment and leveraging its offerings such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, SageMaker etc.
About the US Intern Program
The 2023 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 22 – August 11 or June 12 – September 1). All internships are paid. Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized base salary between $41,000 and $81,400. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
