Job Description

Join our Commodity Markets and Finance division within our Commodities group as a Junior Commodity Finance Analyst. Based in New York, the role involves collateral and deal management activities across diverse portfolio of energy, agricultural and metals loans and structured transactions.

In this role, you will work within our Portfolio Management team, assisting other team members throughout the deal formation and ongoing management of lending and structured trade transactions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation and ongoing management of covenant compliance monitoring, both financial and reporting across multiple teams.
  • Borrowing base validation associated with these deals, other operational and risk management processes, and reporting.
  • Data mining, processing, and aggregation to support business management presentations.
  • Assisting in creating, editing, and formatting of presentations for senior management.

The role will require direct and continuous communication with internal support groups, Macquarie’s customers, and other external parties.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Qualifications in finance, economics, accounting, or other quantitative disciplines.
  • Strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to process manage set deliverables is essential.
  • Strong commercial orientation and an understanding of banking and risk-related issues.

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, is organized, and able to work under pressure to meet month-end deadlines.

Ideal candidates will also have:

  • experience with loan administration/accounting experience in the energy sector,
  • Strong technical background in MS Office, and potentially scripting languages (e.g. Python)

Salary range for this position: $90,000- $110,000/Yr. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. The successful candidate may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
