About the Position

As a Junior Sales Trader, you will join Old Mission's fast growing institutional sales desk that builds and maintains meaningful trading relationships on behalf of the firm. You will be responsible for managing ETF RFQs for clients, executing equity orders as part of our portfolio trading operation, and serving as the bridge between clients and the Old Mission trading desks. You will learn about pricing and microstructure for an array of products and markets around the world. You will also have the opportunity over time to join client meetings and help manage relationships.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage ETF RFQs, execute equity orders on behalf of clients, and ensure efficient booking/settlement
  • Generate reports to monitor trading activity and relationships
  • Answer inbound client trading requests and secure pricing from OM trading desks
  • Assist clients with pre/post trade information as needed

Required Skills: 

  • An undergraduate or advanced degree, preferably in a quantitative field or economics/finance (though all majors are encouraged to apply)
  • Experience with a programming language, ideally comfortable working in Python and/or SQL
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work and solve problems as part of a team, often in a high-pressure environment
  • Proven trustworthiness and performance under the highest ethical standards
  • A strong desire for knowledge and to understand how things work

In accordance with New York City’s Pay Transparency Law, the anticipated base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $100,000. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered to employees.
