We’re about community, inside and out. You’ll find coworkers who are eager to team up, collaborate, and smash (or elegantly solve) problems together. We’re on a quest to empower live communities, so if this sounds good to you, see what we’re up to on LinkedIn and Twitter, get interviewing tips on Instagram, and discover projects we’re solving on our Blog.

About the Role

As the Junior Marketing Data Scientist EMEA, you will help support the EMEA Marketing team with all of their data and analysis requests - from sizing audiences to delivering post campaign reporting.

You will have experience demonstrating an outstanding ability to consolidate an array of marketing data inputs, and analysing them to uncover important insights. You will work with all members of the EMEA marketing team, encapsulating paid media campaigns, social media, owned and operated channels (email, push notifications) and influencer marketing. Finally, you'll have a background working in a similar company or industry to Twitch, notably assessing campaigns across multiple markets.

You will have an expansive international remit encompassing all of EMEA. You will report into the Director of Integrated Marketing EMEA, and will support the EMEA Data Scientist with all analytics requests for the region, integrating cohesively with global counterparts in the US, notably the Marketing Science and Analytics team based in San Francisco. You will be based in London.

You Will:

  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses, build automated dashboards and self-service analytics to empower team members to make decisions based on actionable insights
  • Service analysis and post campaign data requests from all partners
  • Help with the organisation of campaign wrap ups and test & learn insights
  • Consolidate marketing campaign data for monthly & quarterly reporting
  • Uphold coding and documentation standards and participate in code reviews
  • Help build audience data lists for marketing campaigns across multiple marketing channels including emails and push notifications
  • Maintain a culture of high-quality output and exceptional customer service

You Have:

  • 2+ years hands-on technical experience in an analytics or data science function
  • Strong SQL skills and the ability to wrangle potentially unruly data
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactiveness towards self-learning
  • Experience using Tableau or other similar data visualisation tool
  • Fluency in data analysis and communication around data, including time series analysis, experimentation, data visualisation, and defining performance strategy
  • Bachelor's degree or higher

Bonus Points

  • Masters degree preferred but not required
  • You are Twitch user yourself and have a passion for gaming and media
  • Python, R or other similar statistical tools
  • Experimentation or A/B testing experience
  • Experience working with JIRA or similar project management tool

Work Location: London

Contract Length: 9 months
