OVERVIEW OF THE JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for motivated technologists who want to directly contribute to our business. Candidates should have an interest in financial services, strong object-oriented programming knowledge in Python, and solid critical thinking ability. Our teams work collaboratively, so we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Automation, Data ETL, and customized reporting
- Sustainably Engineer: develop, and support solutions that are highly available, scalable, and resilient that are monitored from end to end
- Work with a broad set of third-party services and develop integrations that will enable efficiencies for the business across platforms
- Work with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs with the end user experience as a focus
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or working toward a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- On track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent)
- Strong Object-Oriented Programming skills in Python
- Demonstrate capacity for innovative thinking and strong problem solving
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a variety of people
- Demonstrate integrity and ethics by earning other’s trust and respect through consistent honesty and professionalism in all interactions
- Display clear motivation for exploring a Technology career within financial services
- Display evidence of strong teamwork, leadership and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in written and spoken English is a pre-requisite
- Show demonstrable evidence of self-learning outside of studies, and efforts to advance technical skills
- Knowledge and Experience in Agile Methodology (is a plus)
- Knowledge and Experience in Data Engineering and Analytics (is a plus)
- Knowledge and Experience in Machine Learning & Natural Language Processing (is a plus)
