This is a hybrid role, based in G-Research’s office in Dallas.

G-Research is Europe’s leading quantitative finance research firm. We hire the brightest minds in the world to tackle some of the biggest questions in finance. The Role

G-Research is seeking passionate Engineers to join its expanding Software Engineering Services (SES) Function in Dallas.

SES manages a diverse portfolio of products, including SDLC/DevOps services, security and IAM, and works in partnership with other Engineering Functions, such as Infrastructure and Middleware & Compute.

Successful applicants will have a broad range of experience, from software engineering and development, to managing large-scale infrastructure and complex tooling environments.

You will use modern techniques and approaches to problem solving to help SES achieve the best outcomes for G-Research.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for Software Engineers with an active interest in new technologies, experience aligned to industry best practices and a desire for continuous self-learning.

You will have a range of technology experience, be adaptable and have a desire to work across the various needs of the business.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Development experience (ideally with C#); you will be able to design, build, debug and optimize .Net applications on both Windows and Linux
  • Some exposure to an additional (or scripted) language, such as Python, Java or Go.
  • Working knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Knowledge of general development practices, such as source code management and binary, dependency management (for example, Git, Github and Artifactory) and CI/CD Pipelines and orchestration, such as Jenkins, Bamboo and ArgoCD
  • Experience using JavaScript/Typescript frameworks, such as React
  • Experience working with either relational or non-relational databases
