Who You’ll Work With:
You will join the Macro Strategy team within AB’s Multi-Asset Solutions (MAS) group, supporting our investment capabilities with a focus on dynamic asset allocation.
The team is responsible for developing top-down macroeconomic insights and asset allocation views that inform portfolio positioning across MAS strategies. You will collaborate closely with investment professionals to translate macro views into actionable investment ideas and portfolio implementation.
What You’ll Do:
Conduct in-depth macroeconomic research to help formulate the team’s top-down market views and identify key investment themes.
Translate research insights into actionable investment recommendations, supporting the structuring, implementation, and monitoring of trades in areas of conviction.
Communicate insights and recommendations to MAS investment teams, contributing to internal discussions and external materials such as presentations, blogs, and market commentary.
What We’re Looking For:
Investment Skills & Experience
5–8 years of experience in macro strategy, investment research, or a related investment role.
Strong grounding in macroeconomic analysis and its implications for asset pricing.
Experience or familiarity with equities, thematic research, or asset allocation is a plus.
A data-driven, analytical approach to fundamental research with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information into clear insights.
Demonstrated passion for investing and interest in contributing to a multi-asset investment process.
Behavioral Attributes
Proven ability to independently drive research to generate insight and arrive at investment recommendations.
Creative and resourceful in research, comfortable leveraging a broad range of tools and information sources—including emerging technologies such as generative AI—to develop differentiated investment insights.
Comfortable collaborating across teams and asset classes to leverage expertise across MAS and the broader firm.
Strong intellectual curiosity, analytical rigor, persistence, and independent thinking.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in economics, finance, or a STEM discipline.

In accordance with applicable law, the minimum and maximum base annual salary for this role is as follows: Base Salary Range: $175,000 to $250,000
Actual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base salary is just one component of total compensation at AB, which may include, depending on eligibility, commissions, year-end incentive compensation, short- and long-term incentives and Department-specific awards.
