As a Market Data Strategist within our Data Strategy Group, you will be part
of a team that is responsible for finding, validating and increasing the
overall awareness and effectiveness of external datasets as it relates to
trading at Jump. The team interfaces with all aspects of the firm, from
Trading, Research, and Technology to Business Development, Risk, and
Accounting – providing individuals within the group a full 360-degree view of
Jump. This role will focus on exchange data, index data and core market data
and will be tasked with licensing, reporting, controls and account management.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with global exchanges, index providers and vendors to review and negotiate market data contracts including commercials and usage rights
- Engage with internal stakeholders including Business Development, Research and Legal to define and support new and existing use cases
- Design and implement robust data strategies and governance policies that align with business objectives, including identifying key market trends, analyzing competitor data, and guiding decision-making
- Manage exchange usage and reporting, audits and compliance of market data
Skills You’ll Need:
- A detailed knowledge of the language and structure of market data policies with a focus on unit of count and derived data
- A solid understanding of market data pricing models and metrics with the ability to provide alternative sourcing and contracting options
- Familiarity with global vendor platforms, products and entitlement systems such as VBD, BPIPE, EMRS and DACS
- Experience working with market data audits
- Proven self-starter who can work independently and within a team while effectively managing multiple priorities
- Strong strategic thinker and problem solver with attention to detail
- Reliable and predictable availability
