** Position Title** : Principal, Derivatives Technology

** Job Description** :

Lead strategic projects from definition through to delivery utilizing experience in software development lifecycle and system/business analysis in the Capital markets or asset management. Interact with business and technology stakeholders to elicit requirements, document functional specifications, and perform necessary data and workflow analysis. Maintain project plans and roadmaps consistent with overall team and strategic project objective. Manage multiple stakeholder expectations and communications with a high level of awareness of varying information needs across audiences. Assist with annual budget planning cycle, tracking actual spend and progress against planned program budget and goals. Document and track status, risks, and issues across multiple tracks and projects within the Derivatives Technology team and lean into the tracking and reporting tools utilized by the team, including JIRA and Blueprint. Lead Project teams including guidance and assignment of various activities. Provide subject matter expertise based on Capital Markets industry knowledge and experience. Position is fixed location based in Boston office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed.

** Job Requirements** :

Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field plus six (6) years of experience in a business analysis role, systems analysis role or related occupation, in the trading, investment management, or financial services consulting industry.

Must have six (6) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Software requirements gathering and system/business analysis
  • Project planning and reviewing project status, risks, and key functional deliverables
  • Solution designing by analyzing complex business needs, technology constraints, and operational scalability
  • Managing Project teams, including providing guidance and assignment of various activities
  • Financial Services and Capital Markets domain
  • Working in an investment bank, hedge fund, asset manager, or software vendor for commercial capital markets or derivatives system
  • Project management

Will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field plus eight (8) years of experience in a business analysis role, systems analysis role or related occupation, in the trading, investment management, or financial services consulting industry role in lieu of a Master’s degree plus six (6) years of experience.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, $170,000-195,000/year.
