Get to Know the Opportunity:
Makes independent, creative technical contributions relating to developing, testing, debugging, maintaining and documenting components of information systems applications. Defines user requirements, procedures, and processes to optimize performance efficiency.
The Contributions You 'll Make:
- Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, and implements complex programs supporting Voya's Investment Management line of business; develops appropriate programs and systems documentation according to established standard systems delivery methodology. Adheres to all organizational and IT policies and process for software development and project management.
- Develops technical design specifications based on functional requirements; develops, maintains and enhances business focused applications.
- Builds and maintains systems with current and emerging technologies while leveraging and expanding system capabilities. Conducts decision support systems tests, monitors test results, identifies appropriate issues and takes corrective action.
- Provides creative solutions to moderately complex, cross platform technical problems, partnering with customers to establish requirement and closing the gaps identified in the project.
- Provides onsite and offsite support for the processing cycles of production systems.
- Participates in system development planning and monitoring; enhances existing systems; actively participates in structured walkthroughs and technical reviews. Provides technical direction and coaching to Associate Software Developers in application development activities.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Master’s degree preferred
- 1-2 years of software development experience.
- Must have experience in Python and SQL. Any experience with Java, C++, or C# would be a bonus.
- Proven ability of structure analysis and technical design techniques, database and file access methods.
- Previous experience with transformation
- Must be able to come into the office for meetings.
** Compensation Pay Disclosure:**
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
$63,870.00 - $106,460.00 USD
