AlphaGrep is a quantitative trading and investment firm founded in 2010. We are one of the largest firms by trading volume on Indian exchanges and have significant market share on several large global exchanges as well. We use a disciplined and systematic quantitative approach to identify factors that consistently generate alpha. These factors are then coupled with our proprietary ultra-low latency trading systems and robust risk management to develop trading strategies across asset classes (equities, commodities, currencies, fixed income) that trade on global exchanges.
The principal responsibilities will involve supporting a current trading team in providing bespoke and varied programming tasks. These may include exchange connectivity/broker APIs, production strategy code, order management system code, integrating data pipelines, and varied data analysis. The job will offer exposure to the full end-to-end trading system, from data curation, strategy deployment to execution.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent knowledge of Python and some knowledge of a low level language (C++, Java, etc)
- Experience with SQL databases
- Worked with real data in their studies
- A genuine love of coding, with perhaps pet coding projects they have worked on in their spare time
Skills and Preferred Qualifications
- A deep passion for technology, software development, and mathematics
- Proficiency within one or more programming languages, including C++ and Python
- Master's or PhD in a numerate subject (Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics)
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
