KEPL is a start-up trading team at Cubist Systematic Strategies. We are an elite team specialized in trading medium-frequency statistical arbitrage strategies with high Sharpe. We are looking for exceptional students to be our quantitative developer interns for the summer of 2023. The candidate should have a passion for technology to provide optimal solutions to research and trading. In this team, the candidate will gain full-stack exposure and build expertise in multiple aspects of quantitative research and trading. The candidate will play an essential role in the team’s successful expansion. The candidate will also collaborate with researchers to innovate research tools which will take our research and trading capability to the next level.
Solve challenging problems with real impact in research and trading
Build high performance tools and infrastructure with distributed storage and cloud computing
Expand the business to global markets and diverse asset classes
Undergraduate degree or higher in computer science or other related disciplines
Strong interest and ability in learning new languages/tools and relevant knowledge for trading
A passion for building scalable, robust, and high-performance systems
Proficiency in Python and either C++ or Java
Proficiency with the Linux environment
Knowledge of numerical computing is preferred
The annual base salary is $150,000-$200,000 (USD) which will be prorated based on internship start and end date. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
