We are actively seeking a Quantitative Trader/Coder to join our Fixed Income Institutional Sales & Trading team in our Chicago, New York or Miami office.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement quantitative models and algorithms to enhance trading strategies
Improve the performance and reliability of trading systems
Validate trading strategies through rigorous back-testing and simulations
Manage and integrate large datasets for quantitative analysis
Collaborate with traders to understand their needs and provide technical solutions
Maintain high standards of code quality through best development practices
Stay informed on the latest trends and advancements in quantitative finance and technology
Focus on refining and advancing trading systems and mission-critical applications
Collaborate with quants, traders, and researchers to enhance system adaptability and scalability
Contribute to the development of innovative trading applications

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related Engineering/Science discipline
Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience
Preferable experience in the credit markets
Strong proficiency in Python, C++, Java, or similar
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
Experience collaborating with trading desks to enhance workflows and implement new processes.
Entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivated, and capable of excelling in a fast-paced environment.

In accordance with Illinois and New York City’s Pay Transparency Law, the anticipated hiring base salary for the role will be between $100,000 and $200,000 per year. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, also provides the opportunity for a discretionary bonus and the Mesirow benefit program.
