Job Description

What will you be doing?

• Provide structured solutions and investment strategies for institutional clients by facilitating markets access, hedging portfolios, and cross-asset exposure
• Acting as Trader under limited supervision, provide quote levels and risk management for clients, and identify trading opportunities in both vanilla and exotic markets
• Price, execute and hedge new client business determining right methodology for complex and atypical structures
• Identify trading opportunities among both exotic products and flow rates markets
• Collaborate with Research teams to develop and refine advanced quantitative pricing and risk management models
• Work with Sales team to recommend investment and timing for clients
• Analyze and determine clients’ investment objectives and risk tolerance
• Involved in new financial product development and analyzing client needs, including trading and risk managing bespoke Structured Products for institutional clients such as pensions funds and insurance companies, and servicing client demand for hedges against movement in interest rates and subsequently risk managing these exposures
• Analyze and interpret data on price, yield, stability, future investment-risk trends, economic influences, and other factors affecting investment programs
• Monitor macroeconomic developments and evaluate related reports, and interpreted financial data and other factors that can impact investment strategy
• Involved in development of new financial products to market and hedge

What we’re looking for:

• Requires Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Financial Engineering, Financial Mathematics, or related field and three (3) years of experience in Trading/Markets related occupation within the financial services industry. In the alternate, employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in stated fields and five (5) years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience in stated occupations
• Must have three (3) years of experience with: Pricing, structuring, and hedging IR products and derivatives (Digitals, Barrier, Bermudans, Accreters, Lookback, TARNS, Callable Range Accruals, Dual Range Accruals, Forward Volatility Agreements); Working with Fixed Income instruments to trade, hedge, and perform risk management, Greek computation, and stress testing for Interest Rates (IR) derivatives book; Performing pricing, risk analysis, and hedging of options portfolios to analyze and hedge nonlinear exposures, and identifying pricing parameters, risk drivers and dynamic hedging strategies; Working with Quants to develop pricing models; Engaging with clients and stakeholders to develop business opportunities and trade ideas for IR derivatives; Using Bloomberg, Excel, Python, Tradeweb, and Broadway technologies; and Performing coding in Python to identify dynamic trading strategies for managing option risks and pairs trading
• Must have knowledge of: Stochastic process and continuous time finance, and Fed economic data and macroeconomic factors to assess IR impact. FINRA Series 7/7TO and 63 certifications required within six (6) months of hire

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our New York, New York location at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the façade of the building. The building is easily accessible to Restaurants, Shops and Public Transportation.

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

This position is eligible for incentives pursuant to Barclays Employee Referral Program.
