Who You’ll Work With:
The candidate will work within the Fixed Income Risk Management function and will be primarily responsible for implementing the firm’s error management and operational risk framework within the Fixed Income Municipals SBU at AB. The immediate focus of this role is error correction, reporting and mitigation. There will also be significant emphasis on the identification, escalation and mitigation of operational risks outside of errors. This position will report to the Fixed Income Risk Manager.
What You 'll Do:
Actively manage the error/incident resolution process for the Fixed Income Municipals business which involves:
Performing the role of primary error coordinator objectively and in a timely manner
Partnering with portfolio managers, associate portfolio managers and traders to cover market exposure arising from trading or client account errors
Communicating risk events to stakeholders including senior management
Partner with teams across AB to perform error root cause analysis
Assisting business and risk management with the development of error remediation efforts in partnership with Fixed Income Technology
Collaborating with the firm-wide error coordinators to develop and share best practices
Support the Risk Manager in error trend analysis and other operational risk projects including:
Identifying and monitoring Key Risk Indicators
Participating in, and leading, working groups and initiatives focused on mitigating operational risk
Creating and delivering error management training sessions for the department
Documentation of risk maps
What We 're Looking For:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in finance or economics
3-5 years relevant work experience, preferably with operational risk or process management
Strong project management skills
High analytical with a strong attention to detail
Superior communication and interpersonal skills
Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and in groups
Intermediate level understanding of the financial markets
Advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills

In accordance with applicable law, the minimum and maximum base annual salary for this role is as follows:
Base Salary Range: $85,000-$110,000
Actual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base salary is just one component of total compensation at AB, which may include, depending on eligibility, commissions, year-end incentive compensation, short- and long-term incentives and Department-specific awards.
