Since spinning out of a large brokerage firm in 2016, DV Trading has rapidly scaled as an independent proprietary trading firm utilizing its own capital, trading strategies, and risk management methodologies to provide liquidity to worldwide financial markets and hedging opportunities to commodity producers and users. Now, DV group affiliates include two broker dealers, a cryptocurrency market making firm, and a bourgeoning investment adviser.

DV Energy is a rapidly growing division that specializes in trading crude oil, refined products, natural gas, and related energy markets across US, Europe, and Asia. Our proprietary risk management and trading methodologies along with a strong ability to adapt to changing conditions has allowed DV Energy to grow into one of the largest financial participants within the global energy complex.

Overview:

DV Trading is looking for a Risk Manager, who will partner closely with our COO and CEO, to oversee daily risk monitoring, reporting, and market analysis of our trading portfolios. In addition, they will help build and support more robust automation around our risk processes, reporting, and frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  • Work across our energy trading portfolios to parameterize risks, monitor and measure counterparty trading activity
  • Monitor daily trading activity according to established risk limits
  • Generate various risk reports including VAR, stress testing, intraday PnL, and various trading strategies
  • In partnership with our Operations Team, leverage technology to continue building upon and developing automated reporting and optimized risk processes and frameworks.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Options experience (ideally within commodities)
  • Prior risk management experience/exposure
  • Strong quantitative and data analytics background
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team - should demonstrate curiosity, initiative and self-sufficiency and the ability to learn quickly.
