A bit about the job:

As Senior BA you’ll be ensuring key business goals are understood and requirements are documented. To do this, you’ll be working with design/development/test colleagues to ensure that quality business solutions that address the requirements of the business are delivered.

We’ll look to you to participate, lead and contribute to relevant business/scrum/project meetings.

You’ll also be leading other business analysts to help us develop the change strategy b supporting projects through the development/testing lifecycle including implementation.

Delivering for customers is critical so considering their needs and being prepared to challenge decisions that are not in their best interests is vital.

You’ll need to understand other change initiatives, recognise dependencies, and determine if business benefits can be realised through change synergies.

In Aviva we have three levels of Business Analyst

  • Business Analyst
  • Senior Business Analyst
  • Principal Business Analyst

These range from junior to senior levels. The difference as you move up the grade structure is the increase in scope, size and complexity of the change you will be working on and the seniority of the stakeholders you will be interacting with along with an increased focus on leadership, coaching and mentoring of colleagues.

We are currently recruiting for Senior Business Analyst positions only.

What do we need from you?

  • Excellent analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent facilitation skills

  • Excellent leadership, negotiating and influencing skills to challenge and drive the necessary changes

  • Experience of working on medium to large scale assignments

  • Detailed knowledge and experience of application of business analysis tools and techniques

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Starting salary between £40000 - £60000 (depending on skills, experience, and qualifications)

  • Generous pension (starting level Aviva contributes 8% when you contribute 2%)
