What You'll Do
Epic Games is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to help us create the models that fuel our creator economy. The successful candidate will have excellent SQL knowledge, and enjoy combining analytic skills with business acumen to provide the data and insights that will drive our continued success.
**In this role, you will **
- Work with creator ecosystem teams and key stakeholders from the metaverse economics team and data science teams to ensure available game data is applied for its best use to Epic by retrieving and analyzing data from various sources to understand and model player behavior, so that we can create the best experience for our customers and equitably pay our creators
- Build tracking and metrics on existing and new metaverse economy models and programs
- Independently build tracking to identify new behaviors within the metaverse and generate new insights into creators
- Be responsible for developing KPIs that enable the team to track
What we’re looking for
- Advanced statistical training and a thorough understanding of the associated strengths and weaknesses of different statistical analysis approaches
- Passion for games, analytics, and user generated content
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with experimental design and testability
- Demonstrated experience with economic modeling and multivariate analysis
- Strong knowledge of HiveQL
- Excellent data reporting, visualization and presentation skills - Tableau required
- Experience working with a variety of information systems and data files, including large and complex files: analyzing file structure, using and creating file layouts, ETLing raw data into finished products
- Experience with database application development
- Experience with Machine Learning
The expected annual base salary range for this position is $162,800 - $210,700. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and long-term incentives (subject to the terms of those plans) and receive discretionary bonuses when awarded by the company.
