Come join Unity in the new Economics team as a Data Science leader to help drive the overall economic strategy for Unity’s products and services in Advertising, Cloud, Gaming Services, and other emerging businesses. In this position you will conduct analyses that support CEO, SVP, and VP-level decision making, including designs of Ads’ two-sided marketplace and auctions, launching and pricing of new products and features, forecasting, and other central strategic decisions (e.g., acquisitions, new businesses). As a data science leader in the central org, you will also define and lay the foundation of data science practice at Unity for other applied scientists.

What you’ll be doing

Extracting and performing large-scale data analysis to extract useful business insights
Delivering analytical solutions by using statistical and machine learning models
Using economic and statistical models to solve ambiguous business problems
Engaging in key technical and design discussions with partner teams to deploy solutions

What we’re looking for

Master/PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Operation Research, or other related technical fields
Data engineering experience with real world data to extract, clean, and build datasets
Extremely high level of attention to detail, catching things others might miss
Strong background in quantitative analysis using SQL, Python, and R
Extensive knowledge of applied experience with statistical and ML models such as forecasting, classification, clustering, or regression analyses with real data

You might also have

Research background or experience of working with economists or applied scientists
Experience working with product and finance teams
Familiarity with causal inference and experiment design
Experience with Ads business is a plus

Gross base salary (USD): $134,300 - $181,800*
