SENIOR EQUITY FINANCE TRADER

  • 15+ yeas of Stock Loan Trading, Equity Swap and funding experience, especially within the US Equity Market. Securities Finance market knowledge preferred.

  • Ability to analyze and determine pricing for short term HTB, Risk Arb deals, along with ETF financing.

  • Strong analytical skills and in-depth knowledge in arbitrage trading which includes dividend, lock-up expiry , M&A activity, etc.

  • Proficiency with Bloomberg, QlikView, MS Excel modelling & macro development.

  • Ability to multitask and work under time pressure. Self-motivator with entrepreneurial disposition.

  • The ideal candidate will have worked within securities lending for a minimum of ten years, with solid understanding of what drives Securities Lending business from a supply and demand side.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in daily trading activities to maximize market making in HTB, Warm, GC and ETF space. Support upgrade/downgrade flow/trading.

  • Adhere to risk & control guidelines specifically as it relates to counterparty credit limits, best execution, and fiduciary obligations.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with counterparts ( Sell side Prime Brokerage, Agent Lenders, Retail Brokerage, Sov Wealth Funds, ETF issuer and Real Money Accounts), and stay abreast of macro environment.

  • Work with the sales, D1 Trading, Swap Traders and product colleagues to present trade idea and execute transactions.

  • Prepare market commentary for prospective and existing clients, as well as management reporting.

  • Interface with operations, technology, and account management teams to ensure proper controls, settlements and inventory management.

PROJECTS AND DELIVERABLES:

  • Support the execution of daily trading activity to maintain market share and increase market share in HTB and Rev/Con Space.

  • Exceed revenue, profitability, and return on capital targets through optimal execution and broadening trading strategies and client mix.

  • Help facilitate business process re-engineering, to add efficiencies to and streamline investment trading functions.

  • Build and sustain working relationships with colleagues across Equities and Fixed Income Division

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s / University Degree, Master’s degree preferred.

_The expected base salary ranges from $200,000-325,000. Salary offers are

based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus._
