As the Senior Manager, Quantitative Research on the Investments Team, you’ll
help shape and lead those responsible for modeling complex trading market
dynamics. You'll guide the build out of proprietary tools and software to
manage risk and P&L. You’ll also play a critical role in helping to build and
scale an investment platform at SeatGeek.
What you’ll do
- Manage a team of Quantitative Researchers and provide regular job performance feedback and career development support
- Manage complex, quantitative models and tools used to analyze portfolio exposures and risk-factors, united under a clearly-articulated strategy
- Work closely with team members and Data Science and Analytics to align on algorithmic needs and statistical models, and translate that into a long-term strategic roadmap
- Be the primary point of contact between Quantitative Research and Portfolio Management, Trading Operations, or other key partners to make improvements to daily processes
- Partner with engineering managers on planning and project management
- Build relationships with and manage stakeholders across the organization, implementing quantitative strategies on projects with P&L impact in collaboration with other teams
- Play an active role in our recruiting process for Investments - Quantitative Research roles as we grow our team
What you have
- BS/MS/PhD in quantitative field – Physics, Math, Statistics, Engineering
- Fluency in Excel, SQL, and Python
- Understanding of derivative pricing models and portfolio performance factors
- At least 2+ years of quantitative research experience and people management experience or 4+ years of quantitative research experience
- Preference for previous experience with pricing derivatives (equities, rates, fx, or commodities) at a hedge fund, bank, or proprietary trading firm
- Excellent communication skills - You can translate technical jargon into human-readable ideas and concepts (and vice versa), and are comfortable communicating anything from project status updates to long-term strategic plans to diverse audiences including senior leadership, stakeholders, and your peers
- Passion for sports, music, and live events in general

The salary range for this role is $140,000-$215,000. Actual compensation
packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each
candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of
experience, certifications, and specific location.
