Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Software Engineer (Java/Python) to join our Post-Trade team.

The Post-Trade Technology division is responsible for building comprehensive and accurate middle & back office solutions, ensuring seamless reconciliations, accounting, regulatory, and surveillance processes.

Responsibilities

Developing the firm’s post-trade platform tools, encompassing compliance and regulatory functions, reference data management, trade capture, reconciliation, P&L, and trade cost management.
Collaborating closely with global stakeholders to streamline business functions, and effectively translating business requirements into technical tasks.
Driving design, development, implementation, and maintenance of projects/products.
Continuously looking for process improvements via automation and incorporating superior monitoring tools.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science
2-5 years of demonstrable experience in designing and developing Java or Python based systems.
Hands-on experience in Java 11 (and beyond), with a good grasp of design principles around microservices and messaging middleware.
Understanding of RDBMS, such as Postgre, MySQL, etc.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB.

Preferred Qualifications (not required)

Previous experience in financial services.
Exposure to the ELK stack.
