ROLE SUMMARY

Support a global quantitative strategies team (USA, Amsterdam, Australia, Hong Kong, Bengaluru, and London) in building a cutting-edge quantitative research and production cloud based platform.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead implementation of new portfolio construction methods and alpha strategies in production.

  • Migrate existing on-prem research environment to Azure cloud.

  • Liaison between researchers, strategists, and portfolio management teams.

  • Work with MRMG (Model Risk Management Group) to communicate and validate model changes.

  • Function as a domain expert, advisor, and product manager to full stack software engineers.

  • Ideate and analyze solutions to business problems related to computation at scale, portfolio analytics and visualizations.

  • Build tools for quantitative strategy analysis and use these tools to provide a lens into factor exposures, portfolio analytics and risk metrics.

  • Automate strategy backtesting, monthly factor pricing and returns, and PFA processes (Portfolio Factor Analysis).

  • Perform Product Manager duties with a focus on delivering robust solutions on time.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Knowledge of investments and the financial markets (equity, fixed income, futures, options) usually acquired by an advanced degree or related experience.

  • Experience with relational databases, DevOps, GIT, and cloud technologies (Azure preferred) .

  • Solid programming ability in Python (Pandas), SQL , React, Databricks Workflows and PySpark (Notebooks) languages desirable.

  • Knowledge of RDBMS platforms (Oracle, Databricks Delta Tables and Snowflake).

  • Familiarity with Factset and Bloomberg Data platforms and using APIs.

  • Must have experience with SDLC, agile development, version control and software patterns.

  • Background in statistics and econometrics: cross-sectional and time series regression analysis, and risk models (Barra).

  • Fundamental knowledge of signals, factors, and systematic investing strategies in regard to equity and fixed income asset classes.

  • An understanding of machine learning, optimization, transaction cost modelling, or data visualization is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investing is a plus.

  • Experience with Axioma Optimizer and Aladdin portfolio management software a plus.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Master’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or computer science field preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience work in the quantitative investment and technology domain.

  • Buy-side investment management experience preferred.
