About the Security Group:

Bridgewater Associates is a premier asset management firm, focused on delivering unique insight and partnership for the most sophisticated global institutional investors. The Security Department’s mission is to protect Bridgewater. We constantly evolve our cyber, physical, and staff security practices to meet business needs and stay ahead of the changing threat landscape. This role sits on the Technical Risk Analysis team, which is responsible for assessing new technologies and other potentially risky changes to Bridgewater’s security posture to ensure such risks are well-controlled, documented, and monitored through time.

About the Role:

The Technical Risk Analyst (TRA) role at Bridgewater is key to the full lifecycle of security risk management, from assessing new technologies and how the business uses technology to assuring that specified risk controls remain effective in those technologies over time. The TRA is the linchpin on our security team for identifying and controlling the security risks facing Bridgewater, helping our technology and business teams make risk-informed decisions, and holding those teams accountable to their agreed risk controls.

You will drive the following responsibilities:

  • Analyze and identify security risks in new or changed technologies used by the firm, new external service providers and other third parties using risk frameworks, technical architectures, and control standards;
  • Analyze and identify security risks associated with exceptions to security policies, standards, and controls;
  • Analyze and identify effectiveness of controls through time;
  • Partner with other security teams, including our Security Architecture team, Business Information Security team, Business Continuity team, and Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) team to identify gaps in risk frameworks, escalate above threshold risks, and improve risk analysis workflows;
  • Bring forward security risk analyses, controls exceptions, and other findings to decision-makers in the technology and business organizations for risk adjudication;
  • Systematize risk analysis to permit on-going consistent assessment and controls assurance
  • Work with Security Engineering to build, as needed, capabilities to monitor control effectiveness and support on-going assurance

Physical Requirements

This role is offered with fully-remote flexibility and can be performed from anywhere within the United States. This approach is role specific and each team will have some slight variations that we will be able to describe in more detail throughout the recruiting process.

Compensation

The wage range for this role is $110,000-$230,000 inclusive of base salary and discretionary target bonus. The expected base salary for this role is between 80% - 90% of this wage range.
