Overview
The Global Trading Team at DWS is a key part of the investment process and has a primary goal of achieving best execution results for the firm’s clients. The team covers a wide range of products (across asset classes) and markets globally. Trading is seeking a candidate to join the Americas Trading team in New York.
The individual will primarily focus on trading Equities securities for mutual funds, institutional accounts and ETFs..
Your Key Responsibilities:
Perform trade execution duties, in accordance with our best execution and risk management procedures
Ensure execution of the clients’ orders is efficient, timely, cost-effective, and in line with Portfolio Manager’s trade instructions
Maintain and develop relationships with the broker-dealer community to help facilitate improvement in pricing, balance sheet deployment, liquidity, ECM & Block Trading opportunities
Be familiar with new and existing liquidity sources including High Touch and Electronic (e.g. Algo & Portfolio Trade) Trading
Monitor financial markets and serve as a resource on equity market conditions, shifting market structure dynamics, and new technology providers for the Trading and Portfolio Management teams.
Act as a culture carrier and foster successful relationships and interactions with Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk and Audit
Your Skills & Experience:
Undergraduate degree with a preference towards a Bachelor’s degree in a finance-related or computer science field
Understanding of industry recognized analytic and trading systems including Bloomberg, Tradeweb and Liquidnet. OMS/EMS Experience especially with BRS Aladdin a plus
Demonstrated track record of process improvement through automation of order flow or similar skillset
Experience in the execution of Equity, Convertible and Listed Derivative securities
Strong written and oral communication skills

Expectations
It is DWS’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the NYC office in accordance with the firm’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $87,750 to $172,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
