Trading Internship 2024 - Graduate

We know how tricky it can be to choose a workplace that fits hence why we have designed our new internship program! Over the course of 12 weeks of hands-on project work, training sessions and workshops led by experienced traders, social events, and much more, you’ll get the day-to-day experience as a Trader at Maverick Derivatives. This program prepares you for your next step to become a Graduate Trader in one of our trading teams as you work on the trading desk with traders, developers, and others within our organization while also getting the opportunity to travel to our Amsterdam office for training – those who demonstrate to be a good fit will be invited to join us as a full time Graduate Trader after the program!

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis projects on financial markets;
  • Perform in-depth quantitative analysis to support trading strategies;
  • Provide insightful coverage on the latest news and developments;
  • Support the trading team in various ad-hoc projects.

What we are looking for

  • Full-time availability between June – September. The start date of the program is TBC and will be aligned upon with the successful candidate(s);
  • Proficiency in Python for data science and automation;
  • Ability to effectively work under pressure;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • A detailed-oriented person who consistently delivers work with accuracy and diligence;
  • Demonstrable problem-solving abilities;
  • Academic background in a STEM subject or related;
  • Nice to have: familiarity with SQL.

Due to the nature of this role, we cannot provide Employment Pass or Visa support for this role. We can only consider applicants with relevant Singaporean PR status or nationality.

The interview process

  • Aptitudes & Programming Assessment (Duration: 25 minutes);
  • Introductory Interview (Duration: 45 minutes);
  • Interview Day (Duration: TBC).

The Interview Day is the final step in the recruitment stage. During the Interview Day, you will be invited to visit our office in Singapore where you will go through several discussions with potential future team mates covering various topics.
