RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Provide oversight of model risk for consumer & small business behaviors.

  • Validate and challenge newly-developed and existing models.

  • Evaluate and challenge the conceptual soundness, theoretical foundations and quantitative methods used in the models.

  • Apply knowledge of statistical, econometrics and other quantitative modelling skills, home loan, mortgage, credit card and different financial products to assess the model framework and performance.

  • Conduct examination on model implementation, data management, model execution and analysis.

  • Evaluate model performances and monitoring results by backtesting model outputs against benchmarks and realized outputs.

  • Communicate issues identified through validation reports and presentations to relevant businesses and governance and control functions.

  • Compile and maintain large consumer data sets with complex data architecture and writing efficient SQL queries to manipulate data including merging, cleaning and data mining through various of sources to feed in quantitative models.

  • Build and test quantitative models by evaluating the used conceptual soundness, theoretical foundations, and quantitative methods.

  • Design and develop various advanced statistical, econometrics and time series models, using Python, R or SAS.

  • Document model development/testing insights and analytic findings via LaTeX and leveraging Git /Bitbucket to version control codes and documents.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Financial Mathematics or related; and

  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related quantitative occupation.

  • Must include 2 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Compiling and maintaining large consumer data sets with complex data architecture and writing efficient SQL queries to manipulate data including merging, cleaning and data mining through various of sources to feed in quantitative models;

  • Building and testing quantitative models by evaluating the used conceptual soundness, theoretical foundations, and quantitative methods;

  • Designing and developing various advanced statistical, econometrics and time series models, using Python, R or SAS; and,

  • Documenting model development/testing insights and analytic findings via LaTeX and leveraging Git /Bitbucket to version control codes and documents.
